ABOUT
Britney Nguyen is an accomplished film composer who graduated with special recognition from California State University, Northridge. She developed her expertise in Media Composition under the mentorship of distinguished instructors, including Elizabeth Sellers (founder of the Commercial and Media Writing program), Kyle Simpson, AJ McCaffrey, and Mark Smythe. Additionally, she studied piano with Dmitry Rachmanov, the head of keyboard studies. Britney's notable work includes composing the score for "5 Star (2024)," which premiered at the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences, as well as conducting and arranging for the CSUN studio ensemble for three years.
Throughout her college career, Britney received several awards and scholarships, including the Music Department Scholarship, the Bayramian Scholarship, the Richard Wiegand '66 Scholarship, and she was a nominee for the Wolfson Scholar.
Her professional experience includes an internship with Daniel Stockdale and serving as a technical score assistant on the project "Trust Me, I'm a Doctor" (currently in post-production, 2024).
Britney is a freelance composer, dedicated to sharing her knowledge and passion for music through teaching piano and composition to aspiring musicians.
